Now that the holidays are over, I can finally share some of the fun gifts that we gave over the holidays!! This post is about the grandkids– which include our kids and their cousins on both sides, and the smiles these photos brought to Grammy and Grandma’s faces when they opened them up! I was so thrilled and delighted that they loved these photos as much as I did, and we had so much fun making this a surprise for them! We bought beautiful mirror edged frames from Home Goods, and the red and black looked so sharp and popped in color. I didn’t take a photo of what they looked like individually, but here is something similar. We weren’t able to find frames with 5 spaces (one face for every grandkid on the Elbert side), but we did succeed in finding matted frames with 3 4×6’s.
Our frames had a mirror edge, and had three spaces. I originally wanted a frame with a space for each face, but it was such a challenge to find a frame with 5 spaces going vertically. So I compromised, and went with two sets of siblings on each side, and the baby in the middle which all worked out great.
Here’s an idea of what the gifts looked like, and I also ordered each set prints of the shoot so they could have them and update photos around the house if they wanted to. Because I did do different family sets, I did give those families their portraits for Christmas as a surprise also!

Here are my two kids:
Mariella and Walther
Elbert side, here are my niece and nephew. We had mom drop them off without knowing it was pictures, so I intentionally only bought tops because they were for portraits and upper torso in my head. If you look closely, you might notice his activewear pants!
This guy is such a cutie! More from the Elbert side, clearly the parents knew about the surprise for Grammy 😉
REYES SIDE: You’ll notice that we went through a few outfit changes with my my boy. I didn’t catch on to how uncomfortable he was in his suit that it affected how things went every time. Once I got him in the red thermal (featured above), he was 10x happier and made a world of a difference! MJ just wanted to pick a different dress…
Oh the many faces of Max! 🙂 I love capturing these because of their personalities at this age!
